NE1's Lunch Club: Meet the Must-Try Newbies
Introducing the newest members of NE1’s Lunch Club
NE1’s Lunch Club is back, and Tuesdays are about to get even tastier thanks to its newest members!
Whether you want to escape the office for an hour, or you’ve (understandably) forgotten to meal prep on a Monday night, these local Lunch Club eateries have you covered with delicious discounts every Tuesday.
Texas Smoker, St. James’ STACK
Get a taste of the American South with Texas Smoker at St. James’ STACK! With four generations of rootin’ tootin’ experience behind them, these folks know a thing or two about damn fine US grub. For this chapter of NE1’s Lunch Club, wannabe cowboys can dig into selected combos for just a tenner. Think pork or buffalo chicken wraps and loaded fries – yeah, our stomachs are rumbling as well.
Ori Caffe, John Lewis
Ori Caffe is all about authentically artisan flavours and specially-sourced coffee beans. You’ll find them in the heart of Eldon Square inside John Lewis Newcastle, boasting a brilliant view over the shopping centre that makes it perfect for a spot of people watching. And while you’re watching the world go by, why not grab any hot sandwich and regular hot drink for only £10? It’s hungry work, after all!
Nudo Malatang, Low Friar Street
This Low Friar Street staple might be best known for their warming broths and impressive range of fresh ingredients, but each Tuesday lunchtime, they’ll be offering something a little different from their menu, for even less. There’s two £10 offers to enjoy here; a small eat with customised egg fried rice and sauce, or one small eat with pan fried pork bao’s. Healthy and delicious – sounds great to us.
Sorcerer Coffee, Forth Street
Meanwhile down on Forth Street, Sorcerer Coffee is working their magic with a £7.50 deal that you definitely don’t want to miss out on. Their breakfast sarnies are the stuff of legend, and for just over a fiver you’ll get some filter coffee to wash it all down with too.
Flight Club, Nelson Street
Since opening last year, Flight Club has definitely hit the bullseye with its fast-paced social darts – but if you still need an excuse to try ‘em out, why not join the Nelson Street newbie for NE1’s Lunch Club? Available every Tuesday until 4pm, you’ll enjoy a whopping saving with one of their signature burgers and soft drinks. And hey, we won’t tell the boss if you spend an hour at the oche too…
Pho, Grainger Street
If you’re planning to extend the January health kick into the rest of 2026 (good on you!), then you’ll want to check out Pho’s debut deal for NE1’s Lunch Club. With any classic or spicy soup available for just £10, you’ll be feeling good and saving yourself a couple of quid at the same time.
Acropolis, Worswick Chambers STACK
We’d also love to introduce you to the latest Acropolis venture that’s joined the club! Over at Worswick Chambers, inside the city’s newest STACK, you’ll be able to feast on some cheeky ziki fries for £7.50. Topped with chicken, tzatziki sauce, halloumi bites and chili sauce, this is one to make your co-workers jealous. Take that, Karen from accounting!
Umai Mi, Eldon Square
Eldon Square favourite Umai Mi is also cooking up a storm for this chapter of Lunch Club, with their delicious £10 offer. There’s a choice of five dishes to enjoy for even less here, from braised beef served on jasmine rice, to the vegan and gluten-free shiitake mushrooms stir fried with vegetables in rice spaghetti, so no-one has to miss out.
Burger Drop @ Fayre Play, The Gate
From freshly ground meat to their signature brioche buns, it’s fair to say that the folks at Burger Drop know what they’re doing when it comes to making a bangin’ burger! You’ll find them inside Fayre Play at The Gate, where you can dig into one of six selected combos for just a tenner. And hey, why not get competitive with Fayre Play’s fairground-inspired games while you’re there?
Chop Chop by Nudo Sushi Box, Northumberland Street
We all know how busy Northumberland Street can get, but trust us when we say that it’s worth braving for this Lunch Club deal from Chop Chop by Nudo Sushi Box! For just a tenner, you can enjoy one of four mains, including roast char siu pork, and fried vegetable gyoza. They’re all served with jasmine rice, Chinese leaf and curry sauce too, so you’ll be fueled up for those long Tuesday afternoons.
Fork Café Bar, One Trinity Gardens
Formerly known as Fork Deli, this hidden gem in One Trinity Gardens has been reimagined into an Italian-inspired café bar just a stones throw from the Quayside. At £7.50, their Lunch Club offer is an absolute bargain, with two choices of fresh pasta dishes and two crisp pizzas to pick from. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself coming back after 5pm for some post-work negronis with your pals…
So whatever cuisine you’re craving – or however long’s left until payday! – NE1’s Lunch Club has you covered for 2026. Put the recurring meeting in your diaries, and we’ll see you there.
NE1’s Lunch Club is available every Tuesday from 27th January 2026. Individual terms and conditions may apply per offer.
