LooseFest is one of the North East's musical highlights of the year so check out our guide to what's happening and who's appearing.
LooseFest ‘23 is one of the biggest events in the Newcastle music calendar and certainly the biggest music event to take place on Town Moor. With the 2023 edition only just over a month away, we thought we should tell you all about it.
What Is LooseFest ‘23?
LooseFest ’23 is a two-day celebration of all things beat-driven, from house and disco to techno and drum & bass. Across five stages and two nights, dozens of acts will perform to around 30,000 people, and there’ll be street-food, bars, a funfair and much more. And the production values are apparently going to be off the scale.
Where is it happening?
LooseFest is on Town Moor, the vast and lovely green space on the edge of the city. It’s just a few minutes walk from the city centre and there are good transport links.
What are the dates and when does it start?
LooseFest ’23 takes place on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th August. The music starts as the gates open at midday each day. There’s no admission after 6pm and no readmission once you enter the festival.
Who’s appearing at LooseFest '23?
The organisers of LooseFest have really pulled out the stops this year with a line-up that includes legendary dancehall superstar Sean Paul, D&B dons Chase & Status and Andy C, chart favourites like Craig David, Example and Tinie Tempah and a host of other artists and DJs, including local hero Patrick Topping.
How old do I need to be to attend?
LooseFest ’23 is strictly for people aged 18 and over and they’ll be operating a Challenge 25 system at the gate and at the bars.
What are the ticket options?
There’s a variety of group and VIP ticket options – check out the LooseFest website here – but day tickets start at £74.50 plus fees for Saturday, £64.50 plus fees for Sunday and £112.50 plus fees for the full weekend. In the unlikely event that the event doesn’t sell out, there won’t be tickets on the gate.
Can I use cash on site?
Nope - all stalls and bars are 100% cashless this year
LooseFest ’23 is going to be bigger, bolder and louder than ever before and really is a must-attend for fans of all genres of dance music. Two whole days of top-class dance acts in one of Newcastle's most iconic locations - what more could you want?
