Standing tall in the glass portico entrance, Destination 1850 is a lavish new food and drink establishment that offers gorgeous refreshments for busy commuters. Those in a rush can stop off for a slice of delectable stone-baked Italian pizza, whereas those with more time on their hands can relax in Destination 1850’s luxurious seating area. More good news for foodies of the North! We’ve had confirmation that a gorgeous Indian restaurant will take over the site of Fat Buddha at the 55° North Roundabout. Set to open its doors shortly, The Purple Peacock promises to be a vibrant new dining destination - with scrumptious dishes and Instagrammable decor at its heart. Keep this cool new hangout on your radar this autumn!

Terrific bar transformation! Plans to develop Bar Beyond and Opera into an incredible venue are nearing completion! Located in The Gate, the team are working flat out to get ready for a winter filled with huge extravagant parties! The WonderBar will be the only bar in Newcastle with interactive darts, a trend that is huge in London and brings the fast pace and competitive nature of the sport into the 21st century. From Bavarian Stompers & bingo to big screens showing sport and films as well as a huge range of beers & cocktails, the The WonderBar has it all! Make sure you keep an eye out for an opening date.
