As part of the ongoing Bigg Market Regeneration Project, NE1 is working in partnership with Cathedral Square to offer an amazing commission opportunity to an artist or artist’s partnership for the production of a mural.
The Site
The chosen location for the mural is on the western elevation of the Cathedral Square building and can be viewed by following this link. The useable area is approximately 18mx3.5m.
Themes
The principal aim of the mural is simply to animate the street scene by bringing a colourful display of creative art to the city. We're encouraging as much creative freedom as possible!
Please note that the design should avoid political statements and anything that could be construed as offensive.
Budget
Successful artists will be asked to provide a cost for their commission which should include all materials and labour and must not exceed £7,500
