Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake
7 - 18 May
Prepare to be dazzled by dance as Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake arrives on Tyneside for a two-week run. The beautiful ballet we all know and love is back with a fresh new look for 21st century audiences - retaining the iconic moments of the classic, but with compelling new ideas, costumes and sets. Thrilling, audacious, witty and emotive, this production is best-known for replacing the female corps-de-ballet with a menacing male ensemble, shattering conventions and turning traditional dance on its head.
