Fly to the skies and learn about how space exploration impacts our everyday lives with an amazing intergalactic experience. Life Science Centre’s new Space Zone brings the stars closer to home this half term, learn about the latest space technology, discover how the North East is helping to shape space exploration and the amazing science behind our universe! Space adventurers can build and launch their own rocket, explore the inside of a mock-up model of the International Space Station and operate a Mars rover from mission control. While you’re floating among the stars, check out the biggest planetarium in the north of England too! An amazing interactive area that features a variety of shows, including a presenter-led tour of the night sky. Perfect for fun for the whole family!

Creating work inspired by current Laing Art Gallery exhibitions, this fantastic event is the perfect opportunity for budding artists to showcase their talents.

The friendly faces at Ouseburn Farm are doing the hard work for us this year, hosting tonnes of half-term events for friends and family to enjoy! Located in the heart of the city, Ouseburn Farm is a working farm and vibrant green place that has been open for over 40 years. Welcoming tonnes of families every week, get involved with a Meet The Animals interactive tour, explore the Secret Garden Treasure Hunt and enjoy a bit of piglet petting! All that plus heaps of delicious food and drink for everyone to tuck in to!
