This February, don’t miss a unique adaptation of Great North Museum’s much-loved Museum Mice sessions! The Mouse House is here, and the lovely GNM team are inviting young ones and families to explore the museum in a day bursting with free adventure and excitement! Exploring tons of different themes using the museum’s gallery, Mouse House is the perfect activity for little ones to explore, make new friends and learn about a new topic with a series of fun and engaging games!
VICTORIA TUNNEL TOUR

Experience the city like never before! This glorious guided tour is perfect for your gang and those setting out for a day full of Toon discovery! Using just your senses (it’s pretty dark down there you know!), you will learn how hard life was during World War II, see and touch the original tunnel built in 1842, listen out for the air raid warning, hear how planes flew overhead and how the people went about their daily lives. A day out bursting with the history of our great city awaits!

This summer, the Laing Art Gallery is pulling out all the stops for creative makers with several art schools for different age groups throughout the half-term. 7-10-year-olds can enjoy various three-day academy sessions, and 11-16-year-olds can participate in a fantastic four-day offering. Be inspired by Laing's broad collection and explore and develop your artistic skills and techniques!
DISCOVERY DAYS: FEBRUARY FUN

Broaden your kids’ cultural horizons with Discovery Museum’s fascinating half-term workshop, Discovery Days! Taking inspiration from the spectacular Newcastle Town Hutch displayed in their Newcastle Story gallery, families can enjoy a blast from the past by learning all about this 19th century Toon artefact, which was used to keep the town's money and documents safe. Children can also build their own secret store box. The only question is, what treasures will you store in your own creation?

BALTIC is inviting the whole family out for two fabulous days of free activities!
