Everything You Need To Know About The Dacia Magic Weekend

Last updated:

Huge times ahead in the Toon as thousands of fans from every corner of the nation descend into the city as Dacia Magic Weekend whistles back to Newcastle on 4th - 5th September!

Billed as a festival of rugby, NUFC have pulled out all the stops when it comes to bringing this incredible event to the city, and this wonderful weekend of rugby magic will transform our football- loving city into a rugby mecca for one glorious weekend at St.James’ Park.

Six massive Betfred Super League clashes will take place at the Newcastle United ground across the two days. The event kicks off at 2pm on the Saturday, as Castleford Tigers take on Salford Devils to start things off with a bang. Following that comes one of the most anticipated fixtures of the weekend as 2020 champions and the most successful Super League team of all time, St. Helens take on Catalans Dragons - the only team outside of England in the league.

The French Dragons have a score to settle after St. Helens beat them in a 2020 play-off semi-final on their road to the championship and the Dacia Magic Weekend will provide the perfect stage to get their own back! Not only is Dacia Magic Weekend a high-octane rugby extravaganza that welcomes the biggest stars to St. James' Park, it's a special day out in Newcastle that means you and your loved ones can enjoy 9 hours of fan zone activities, in-house entertainment from super hero cosplay characters and tuck into some of the tastiest treats from food vendors - all in a welcoming, family-friendly party atmosphere!

Whether you’re a die-hard rugby fan or someone that’s never been to a match before, this weekend is for everyone. The Dacia Magic Weekend is about atmosphere and fun - that’s the magic of it! What's more? Well, Junior Category 3 tickets start from just £20 for a full weekend, whereas weekend tickets start at £40! A sweet deal if you ask us, these tickets give you access to deals across the city - including at the event’s official partner, The Gate. Get your rugby on and enjoy purse-pleasing deals on drinks, food, gaming experiences and the cinema! Ideal!
