Celebrating International Women’s Day in Newcastle

Last updated:

This year, celebrate International Women's Day on March 8 with our pick of inspiring virtual events in NE1. Here’s the lowdown…

International Women’s Day 2021

This year's International Women's Day theme is #ChooseToChallenge, a campaign to challenge and call out gender bias and inequality, to seek out and celebrate women’s achievements, to remind ourselves that we're responsible for our own thoughts and actions - all day, every day. From challenge comes change, so let's all choose to challenge.

Whether you’re running a campaign, launching an initiative, reporting on achievement, donating to a female-focused charity, or more - there are many ways groups and individuals can mark International Women's Day and this year in Newcastle, we’re doing it virtually.

With that in mind, we've lined up some virtual ways for you to get involved in NE1.
