5 Minutes With: Laura Evans - Goldilocks and the Three Bears, Theatre Royal

Last updated:

Laura is letting her hair down this Christmas to play the role of Goldilocks at Newcastle’s Theatre Royal's much-loved family pantomime.

First time in the Toon?

This is actually my third consecutive year in panto at the Theatre Royal. I love the Toon!

Have you brought your coat?

Yes, I’ve brought three - plus several hats! I don’t leave the house without them.

Best Tyneside moment?

Taking my first bow on the beautiful Theatre Royal stage to a packed audience.

NE1 plans?

I love everything about NE1! I’m hoping to catch a show at The Cluny and I love the Quayside Sunday Market. I do enjoy a cocktail or two at The Botanist andI also love a good breakfast at Carluccio’s pre-show! I’m sure there will be some ‘mulled wine & pizza nights’ at STACK this December too!

What would you be doing if you weren’t here now?

I’d be back in London working on something else. Or at home with my family in Wales.

Tell us a fun fact?

As a child I was obsessed with Bart Simpson and I would constantly impersonate him. Yup, I know every word of ‘The Bartman’ rap!

Don't forget to go down to the woods with Goldilocks and the Three Bears this winter at Newcastle's Theatre Royal. On now, until Sunday 20 January 2019.
