Zombie Takeover at the Laing Art Gallery

Laing Art Gallery, Newcastle upon Tyne Zombies will be taking over the Laing Art Gallery in Newcastle as 12 to 16 year olds are invited to work with a professional special effects artist to transform themselves into zombies for the day. The Zombie Takeover day is on Thursday 31 October from 12pm to 3pm. Julie Milne, Chief Curator at the Laing Art Gallery, said: “Visitors to the Laing Art Gallery on Halloween will need to be prepared to see some unusual sights as our young zombies stagger and drag their way through the gallery.” The young people will get the chance to learn about professional special effects which are used in film and television, creating their own zombie-style make-up and wounds. They will also be able to make their own costumes with the help of the Laing Art Gallery team.
