YOUNG FOOTBALL FANS CAN SCORE A DRAW IN A FANTASTIC ART COMPETITION…
Young football fans can score a draw in a fantastic art competition.
Sodexo Prestige, which runs the conferencing and banqueting at St James’s Park, home to Newcastle United FC, is already looking to the 2013 festive season by inviting children from across the region to design their own front cover for this year’s Christmas brochure.
Not only will the winning picture be printed on thousands of brochures to be sent to homes and businesses throughout the region, but its creator will also have the honour of being match mascot at a home game St James’s Park during the coming season.
The competition is open to youngsters aged between five and 11 and the prize includes a ticket for a parent or guardian to accompany the winner to the match, a replica kit in their size to wear on the day and the unbeatable experience of accompanying the team out of the tunnel onto the hallowed turf.
The winner will also be able to share the fun with their friends as the stadium will lay on an exclusive tour of ground for their whole class.
Beverley Joslyn, Conference and Banqueting Marketing Executive for Sodexo Prestige at Newcastle United, said: “We ran a similar competition last year and not only did hundreds of local children take part but the winning design was a big hit with all our customers.
“We’re hoping all the region’s budding young artists will put pen to paper and really let their imaginations run riot.”
To enter, youngsters – who must have permission from a parent or guardian - need to download and complete an entry form via http://www.nufc.co.uk/page/Fans/Competitions/0,,10278~2579846,00.html.
They can then email their designs to [email protected] or post them to Christmas Competition 2013,Sodexo Prestige, Newcastle United, St James’s Park, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 4ST before the closing date on Thursday February 28.
