NE1 Monument Movies get underway tomorrow, Tuesday 21 July, for six weeks of free open-air film screenings on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays in the heart of Newcastle.   Nestled amongst the throng of NE1 deckchairs around Grey’s Monument will be two luxury sofas positioned for the mid-week, 12 noon screenings, which tomorrow is the sing-a-long version of Disney’s epic, Frozen. These VIP seats are being offered courtesy of Metro Radio and will be the best seats in the house taking prime position in front of the big screen at 12pm every Tuesday and Thursday.   Metro Radio’s Steve and Karen have teamed up with NE1 and the Botanist to lavish a host of lucky winners with VIP treatment at NE1 Monument Movies. The winners will not only enjoy the film in front row sofa comfort, but they will also be served food and drink from The Botanist whilst watching the film.  The Sofa Seats and food will be provided for up to 4 people per showing – 2 people per sofa. Modern classics, recent releases and animated adventures are all included in this year’s NE1’s Monument Movies line up which will be shown at 12-noon and 5pm every Tuesday and Thursday and 11am and 3pm on Sundays from Tuesday 21 – 30 August. For your chance to get the VIP treatment at NE1’s Monument Movies all you have to do it tune into Metro Radio’s breakfast show each Monday and Wednesday during the summer screenings.
