Top Gear Gives a Sneak Preview of its 2015 UK Arena Tour

Some of the world’s most breath-taking supercars, stupendous stunts and three middle aged men. It can only mean one thing; the stage is set for Top Gear Live’s largest UK tour ever. With shows in Liverpool, Newcastle, Belfast, Sheffield and London, the motoring mayhem speeds into the Metro Radio Arena Friday 20th – Sunday 22nd February 2015. Staged in association with Live Nation, Top Gear Live’s Arena Tour fronted by Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond, will feature a mix of beautiful supercars, breathtaking stunts and hilarious presenter challenges. Although the production team remains tight lipped on the show’s many secrets, we can reveal that visitors will be treated to a challenge which will see Hammond and May attempting to make cars smaller than Clarkson’s beloved P45. Creative Director, Rowland French said ‘Top Gear Live has never toured like this in the UK before and we’re really excited about coming back to the UK because it’s Top Gear’s home. We’ve got a whole new show and a load of challenges, stunts and surprises that we can’t wait to show the audience for the first time.” Other highlights include the world’s largest ‘Cage of Death’, where seven motorcyclists use centrifugal force to circle the inside of a giant globe.  This will be the first time the death defying stunt has ever been seen in Europe.  Fans will also be treated to a real visual spectacular in the shape of a new driving sequence featuring two custom built BMW M3s both completely covered in over 600 metres of LEDs  - a collaboration with LED performance company, Feeding the Fish. White suited racing driver, The Stig, takes on the presenter trio for a spot of Reliant Robin racing whilst Jeremy takes to the starting blocks with a member of Team GB – sitting in a 550hp supercar of course. In an attempt to end the age-old rivalry, the Top Gear Live producers have devised a drifting event to decide, once and for all, which presenter is the best driver. Rowland French says: “We’ve given them a budget to find the best used drift car that they’ll bring along and have their ability scored round a drift course. What could possibly go wrong?” Tickets costing from £35.00 are available online, from the booking hotline number 0844 493 6666 or in person from the Metro Radio Arena Box Office.
