The Hunger Games comes to Newcastle

Get yourself down to Red's True Barbeque to try your hand at this ultimate eating competition! 

Think you have the stomach to eat your way to the foodie hall of fame? This could be the contest for you.

The Battle Of The Bones is a new rib-eating tournament hosted by meat mavens at Red’s True Barbecue in Eldon Square.

Valiant competitors in both the men and women’s category will have to chomp their way through as many baby back ribs as they can in 5 minutes to be in with a chance of being crowned Battle Of The Bones King & Queen.  A share of £500 is on the table for winners, plus a year’s supply of BBQ sauces!

To add extra bite to the challenge, the event will see wildcard entries from the Newcastle Falcons plus weightlifters from the World’s Strongest Man competition. 

Hosted by local sports presenter Andy Sixsmith, spectators are welcomed and can watch all of the action live at Red’s Newcastle on 8th March from 6pm where there will be deals on drinks and food.
