The Fall

The Fall formed in Manchester in 1976 and has existed ever since. Essentially built around it's founder and only constant member, Mark E. Smith. 
 
The group's music has gone through several stylistic changes over the years, but is often characterized by an abrasive guitar‐driven sound and frequent use of repetition, always underpinned by Smith's distinctive vocals and often cryptic lyrics.  
 
Support comes from Trudy and The Romance. These boys will leave you love drunk and weeping into your whiskey. With Hollywood-tinged melodies and raucous guitar, they spit grit in the teeth of a Colgate grin. 
 
 
Also on the bill, Blood Sport. Their blistering guitar dynamics and pointed-yet-pointillist lyrics meshing into rough-house, technogilded polyrhythms, with an untrammeled urgency pervading their tightly wound sound and all that surrounds and informs it. 
 
 
This show is 14+ (under 16s must be accompanied by someone who's 18 or over).
