Stick Man Live

Touching, funny and utterly original, Scamp Theatre’s delightful adaptation of Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s STICK MAN is coming back to Tyne Theatre & Opera House this October, after a hugely successful run of shows in October 2017. 
 
What starts off as a morning jog becomes quite the misadventure for Stick Man: a dog wants to play fetch with him, a swan builds a nest with him, and he even ends up on a fire! How will Stick Man ever get back to the family tree?

STICK MAN Live is the latest production to be added to Tyne Theatre & Opera House’s programme of children’s shows for 2018, and will be the third Julia Donaldson stage adaptation of the year, after the wonderful Tiddler and Other Terrific Tales in April and the upcoming What the Ladybird Heard from Friday 8th – Saturday 10th June.

Tyne Theatre & Opera House Director Joanne Johnson says: “I’m so thrilled to welcome back STICK MAN Live to the Tyne Theatre stage! When Scamp Theatre brought the show to the theatre in October 2017 it was absolutely delightful, and I hope this gives people who missed it the first time another chance to catch it. I also can’t wait to see Julia Donaldson’s What the Ladybird Heard brought to life in June – as a mum I’m a big fan of her wonderful books”.
