SATISFIED GUESTS WIN SANDMAN SIGNATURE A TOP AWARD…
SATISFIED guests have earned one of Tyneside’s most stylish hotels another award to add to its growing list of accolades.
The Sandman Signature hotel, opposite St James’ Park, Newcastle, scored so highly with visitors in a customer satisfaction survey that it has received a prestigious
award from leading online hotel reservation service www.booking.com .
The award comes less than six months after the 170-bedroom Sandman was voted Large Hotel of the Year at the prestigious North East England Tourism Awards and was judged on the views of hotel guests throughout 2102.
To win, the hotel had to receive an average satisfaction rating of more than eight out of 10 from those who had stayed for one night or more in the course of the year.
In recognition of the award, the hotel will be given a plaque to display at reception for the benefit of future guests and to encourage them to share their views and experiences of their stay.
General manager Paul Smith said: “This award is a real joy to receive as it has been given on the recommendations of our guests.
“It is of paramount importance to us that they enjoy their stay at the Sandman Signature and we work very hard to ensure we meet every need efficiently and pleasantly – so, it’s great to know how much they’re appreciated the care and trouble we’ve taken.”
Earlier this year the Sandman Signature hotel successfully beat other major sites from across the region to be voted Large Hotel of the Year and will now compete against winners from other UK regions in the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence in 2013.
