Looking further ahead, Sage Gateshead’s Summer holiday programme is filled with budget-friendly activities for families. Under 7s can sing, dance and join in with Sage Gateshead’s fantastic Early Years musicians in the series of hour-long Family Summer Specials workshops. Bring your teddy along for fun in the Teddy Bears’ Picnic (Wednesday 26 July, 9.45am & 11am); help create a musical garden with In Our Garden (Wednesday 2 August, 9.45am & 11am); put your sunglasses on and come along to At the Seaside (Wednesday 9 August, 9.45am & 11am); and join us On A Journey (Wednesday 16 August, 9.45am & 11am), singing songs as we go! For ages 5+ and their families, Family Zumba (Wednesdays from 26 July-16 August, 1.30pm) is a fantastic way to get the whole family up and moving and Family Band (Thursdays from 27 July-17 August, 1.30pm) is a wonderful opportunity to learn to play a different well-known song each week together with professional musicians and your family.
