Royal Northern Sinfonia prepares for Baroque Christmas by Candlelight tour

Royal Northern Sinfonia prepares for Baroque Christmas by Candlelight tour

The festive season is almost upon us and preparations are well underway for Royal Northern Sinfonia’s Baroque Christmas by Candlelight tour.

Taking place from Thursday 1 December to Friday 16 December, RNS will be visiting a number of beautiful churches across the region, including Hexham Abbey, Sunderland Minster, St George’s Church in Cullercoats and St Nicholas Cathedral in Newcastle.

The concerts are sure to get audiences into the Christmas spirit, with a wonderfully festive programme including seasonal instrumental favourites such as Corelli’s Christmas Concerto, Albinoni’s Concerto for Oboe and Strings in D minor and Vivaldi’s ‘Winter’ from The Four Seasons, all performed in a gorgeous candlelit atmosphere.

Tickets for the concerts are £16.13 for adults and £5.38 for under 18s, and can be booked via the Sage Gateshead website.
