Roof Thirty Nine at Fenwick Makes Highly Anticipated Return with Fentimans Floral Pop-Up

Fenwick Newcastle’s highly popular rooftop restaurant and terrace, Roof Thirty Nine, makes its highly anticipated return for 2025, creating the ultimate summer destination in partnership with the North East’s premium soft drinks brand, Fentimans.

A Rooftop Experience in Full Bloom

Fenwick’s Roof Thirty Nine, a much-loved local favourite since its opening in 2021, has become the new home of The Botanical Garden by Fentimans. The brand has relocated its indoor spring pop-up which opened on the first floor of Fenwick’s flagship Northumberland Street store in April. Just in time for summer, The Botanical Garden will now celebrate the season in full bloom by taking guests into a floral outdoor oasis to enjoy an elevated sensory experience, combining Fentimans’ signature flavours and rich heritage with striking rooftop views of the city, al-fresco dining, and refreshing botanical cocktails.

Celebrating 120 Years of Botanical Brewing

The collaboration between the two North East powerhouses continues as Fentimans marks the 120th anniversary of its signature Botanical Brewing process, which sees its famous soft drinks and mixers expertly crafted in Hexham. The summer takeover on Roof Thirty Nine will give new and returning diners the chance to celebrate with the brand throughout July and August.

Signature Cocktails & Summer Menus

The Botanical Garden menu will feature its best-selling cocktails from the pop-up curated by award-winning bartender and Fentimans ambassador, Joe Schofield, as well as its much-loved soft drinks such as Ginger Beer and Rose Lemonade. The menu will continue to feature favourites such as the Rhubarb Aperol Fizz, which combines Aperol, Fentimans Rhubarb Tonic and prosecco and the Pink Sunset spritz, a vibrant infusion of Campari, Fentimans Pink Grapefruit Tonic, mint and prosecco.

The carefully crafted food menu will also see the return of popular dishes infused with and inspired by Fentimans’ signature beverages, including stunning floral flatbreads, a selection of colourful botanical salads and delicious light bites, perfect for relaxing and dining in the sunshine with friends.

Jayne Andrews, Marketing Director at Fentimans, said: “It’s very exciting to be continuing our partnership with Fenwick, following the fantastic launch of our Botanical Garden pop-up earlier in the year. Roof Thirty Nine perfectly captures the spirit of summer with its premium positioning and gorgeous outdoor terrace, giving customers a place to escape the hustle and bustle and enjoy our bold botanical flavours in beautiful floral surroundings. With breathtaking panoramic views of Newcastle city centre, The Botanical Garden is the perfect place to unwind.”

Kieran McBride, Store Director at Fenwick, said: “We’re really pleased to be able to continue offering our customers something unique that they can’t get elsewhere in the city. Our partnership with Fentimans has gone from strength to strength this year, as we continue our commitment to championing North East brands. We look forward to welcoming customers back up to Roof Thirty Nine for a truly elevated experience this summer.
