Newcastle Cocktail Week a “Flying Success” Says Founder, as Event Pleases the Crowds on Mass Scale and Tickets Go on Sale for Second 2026 Event

Newcastle Cocktail Week, which ran from March 20 to 29 2026, was a glorious success once again after returning for the fourth time.

Thousands of visitors bought wristbands after the success of Newcastle Cocktail Week's second year in 2025 – smashing last year’s number of attendees.

Iconic venues got behind the event, including Vampire Rabbit, Barluga, Passing Clouds, Above, Colonel Porter’s Emporium, Louie’s Liquor Store, Victors and Twenty Twenty to name but a few, all with one shared mission – to drive footfall into local businesses, raises awareness of fantastic bars, clubs and restaurants and of course, to serve up the best cocktails created by top notch mixologists.

Visitors who attended the 10-day extravaganza, cited socialising with friends, discounts on cocktails and trying new venues and drinks high on their list of reasons to try Cocktail Week and most have agreed that it will be their annual event to enjoy.

One visitor, who loved her cocktail at Manahatta, said: “I’ve done Cocktail week twice now and absolutely love it. I love that I can make a whole date out of it by fully taking advantage of the food discounts and I love trying new places. Cocktail Week’s biggest fan!”

A husband and wife duo enjoyed the Long Island Iced Tea and margarita’s in The Alchemist and added that “Newcastle is always a great night out and this event made it even better.”

An amazing 54 venues participated with a colossal 3.9 million views across social media.

In addition to the signature cocktail and mocktail options, many additional food and drink deals were also available.

Anyone with a Newcastle Cocktail Week wristband could take advantage of the several delicious discounts that were available throughout. All venues offered cocktails from between £5 - £7 and some had discounts on food bills, two-for-one drinks and more. Visitors could discover each venue’s signature exclusive cocktail and, new for 2026, wristband wearers could also enjoy a delicious signature mocktail option in each venue, too.

Marketing firm, M.ad Agency, is responsible for several Cocktail Week events across the country and director, Alice Christison, was thrilled with how popular this year’s Newcastle event was. She said: “We’re over the moon with the incredible success from this year’s first Newcastle event with wonderful, positive feedback. It was a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the city’s incredible bars and restaurants while offering locals and visitors an unforgettable experience – and we achieved that."

Alice insists the team are ready to bring the event back bigger and better again

“We’re excited to return to the city later this year.”

Tickets are now on sale for the next event, running from Oct 2 – Oct 11, 2026. For more information and to buy tickets visit newcastlecocktailweek.co.uk with early bird prices available.
