Newcastle bar transformed by major investment

The UK’s favourite cocktail bar, Revolution is bringing change to Newcastle after choosing its venue on Collingwood Street as the latest bar to receive a complete overhaul. A six-figure investment will transform the existing site to enhance its offer as a premium drinking and dining venue. Located on Collingwood Street in the centre of Newcastle’s buzzing nightlife, the imposing building which once housed Barclays Bank has been sympathetically renovated to reflect its history whilst retaining its contemporary bar style. The impressive new-look venue will offer plush surroundings, hostess table service and a quirky yet elegant finish making it the perfect setting for long lunches, after work cocktails and late night fun. The bar will officially re-open on Saturday 18^th January with a sensational party kicking off at 6pm to include canapés, cocktails, live music, DJs and entertainment. Showcasing Revolution’s largest ever cocktail menu to date, expert mixologists will also invite guests to take part in their own mini-cocktail making master class. The bar’s general manager, Timmy Jessop, said: “We are looking forward to welcoming back existing customers to our invigorated venue, and we hope the refined new look in this historic building will also encourage new custom.
