NE1’S Newcastle Fashion Week may be over for another year but NE1 is still spreading the fashion joy. One lucky Newcastle resident has just been named as the winner of NE1’s annual search for Newcastle’s Most Stylish.
Kevin Bianen, 22, of North Shields was named the most stylish winner from the annual competition that takes place in the run up to the 9 day extravaganza that is NE1’s Newcastle Fashion Week.
Over 60 people were photographed in this year’s search when NE1’s team of style scouts and photographer took to the streets of the city to capture the many and varied stylish looks. The team snapped the city’s stylistas in front of NE1’s NFW logo board, to replicate the red carpet treatment afforded to models and actors.
Age was no barrier to being in the running for the coveted title of Newcastle’s Most Stylish with 87 year old Muriel among the 10 finalists.
The public voted for their favourites via NE1’s Facebook page with the top ten finalists then judged by a panel including the team at NE1 Ltd and Metro Radio. Kevin was the undisputed winner and will collect his prize of a £500 VIP shopping spree at designer boutique, Cruise and a weekend hire of a Mercedes Benz convertible courtesy of NE1’s NFW sponsor, Mercedes Benz Newcastle.
Commenting on this year’s winner of Newcastle’s Most Stylish, Sandra Tang’s, NE1’s Events and Marketing Manager said: “Each year the search for Newcastle’s Most Stylish gets bigger and better and the people we meet and photograph reflect the diversity of the city’s street style scene – from uber glam to skater chic it’s all happening in the city. Kevin’s style and good looks earned him the winning spot this year, last year he was actually in our top ten – so clearly he is a popular choice.”
