Mulligans Newcastle Undergoes Six-Figure Transformation into Sports and Games Bar

Mulligans has become the ultimate sports and games clubhouse, featuring stadium-style seating, electro-shuffle, and giant wall-mounted TVs

Mulligans on Newgate Street has been transformed into Newcastle’s new favourite sports and games bar, following a six-figure refurbishment.

The venue has become the ultimate social clubhouse where casual and die-hard sports fans can catch all the major moments and get in on the gaming action themselves.

Mulligans has installed brand new electro-shuffle games, which fuse traditional shuffleboard, automatic scoring and digital games. Guests will still be able to challenge each other at electro-darts, pool, crazy golf and arcade games, such as basketball.

New stadium-style seating will bring the Magpies as close to the action as possible, creating room for 53 guests to watch the beautiful game in luxury, on a huge wall-mounted screen. Plus, there are more screens around the venue for fans to join in with the fun.

Powered by Sky Sports and TNT Sports, the venue will stream prime fixtures, from football and boxing to darts and F1. Coming up, fans can be in amongst the action for the Premier League, Super Bowl, Six Nations, T20 and more!

Handily positioned for mid-match top-ups, the venue has also added a new bar next to the stadium-style seating. A new VIP area with personal, large wall-mounted screens and private booths is available for private hire.

Fuelling the play and spectation, Mulligans’ menu includes mouthwatering pizzas, nachos and dirty fries, alongside a tasty assortment of side dishes. The menu caters to those following vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free diets.

Mulligans’ mixologists have created 12 signature cocktails, as well as a variety of alcohol free, beer and cider on draught, including Guinness and Inch’s, wine and soft drinks.

Adventure Leisure’s Chief Operating Officer, Stephen Brown, said, “We’re really proud of all of the changes and upgrades we’ve made to Mulligans Newcastle to bring sports fans as close to the action as possible, without being in a stadium. The fun doesn’t stop there- we still have all of the games we know our guests love and have introduced electro-shuffle to our roster too.

Our Newcastle site is the third venue operating under our new Sports and Games concept. We hope that the Geordies will love it as much as our friends in Cheltenham and Romford do. We hope to see you there soon!”

The teams are loving meeting new guests and re-creating the thrilling atmosphere that comes with streaming live sports.”
