Lola Jeans opens in Newcastle

(Photography Credit : Jonny Wilson) A brand new venture by the owners of Tynemouth's favourite drinking hole and eatery, Lola Jean's, will open it's doors to the public in Newcastle early November 2014. Located in Grainger Town, the heart of Newcastle's city centre round the corner from Newcastle's Theatre Royal, countless boutique shops, restaurants and late night boozers, Lola Jean's is the freshest addition in the revival of the beloved centre. Following on from their Tynemouth success, situated on ever popular Front Street, the Lola Jeans team promise to deliver honest, delicious, pocket friendly food and drink in their new home. Successor to the former site of Newcastle institution and one of the city's longest running restaurants, The Godfather. Dating back to the mid 1800's many of the remaining original fixtures and fittings will be artistically incorporated into the finished product. We've stripped back decades of plasterboard to unearth period characteristics enabling us to create a space combining classic décor and reclaimed furnishings, along with some complimentary modern twists. Taking style notes from the continental wine bars, New York roadside deli's, Parisian pavement café's, and East London¹s basement dives that we've explored in our experienced years of travel, the outcome is unique. A space to get lost in that incorporates timeless furnishings and attention to detail with a hint of the industrial. Lola Jeans exciting menu is soaked in classic BBQ'd American, and hearty English dishes taking the traditional and defining it just a little bit special. As with the original, we've paired up with local specialists to lovingly devise a menu featuring as much high quality regionally sourced produce as we could possibly muster. Communicating with the producers from roots to plate it's a selection of food for anyone to be proud of.   Spanning 20 years experience between them our exceptional bar tenders have carefully calculated a diverse menu of beautifully crafted cocktails using only premium spirits and the finest liqueurs, developed 100% from scratch over the last six months. From the old school Mojitio to top-secret new flavours we're happy to welcome you to your customised tipple. We have also collated an ambitious array of world beers with some firm favorites from across the country the UK you're sure to be more than satisfied.
