Life Science Centre celebrates a Cracking Easter

Life sees record visitor numbers over Easter 2016
Life Science Centre experienced record-breaking visitor numbers during the recent Easter holidays, with almost 20,000 eager guests flocking to the city centre attraction. Among the offerings over the break were Life’s popular chocolate workshops, where participants were invited to test their taste buds and learn about the science of chocolate, the chance to carry out real experiments in the Experiment Zone, and the opportunity to explore the Science Centre’s exhibition Robot: a collection of robot models, cyborgs and androids from TV and film, which closes on 15 May 2016. “Our visitor numbers continue to increase year on year and this Easter they were the best we’ve seen since opening. We continue to offer an excellent value for money day out for the whole family, which includes hands-on activities and memorable experiences such as seeing the wonders of the night sky in the planetarium or extracting DNA in the Experiment Zone,” said Julia Hankin, Marketing and Communications Director at Life. Easter visitors were also amongst the first to explore Life’s new Brain Zone - an interactive exhibition space that explores the amazing capabilities of the human brain - following its opening on Good Friday. The exhibition is supported by the Wellcome Trust .
