Lichfields Promotes North East Trio
UK planning and development consultancy Lichfields has promoted three members of its North East team, reflecting their success and continued growth in demand for its planning and development services.
Newcastle-based Lynda Newsome and Phil McCarthy have been promoted to planning director and Andrew McMeiken has been promoted to senior planner. Lynda Newsome has more than 20 years’ planning experience across housing, industrial, health care and student accommodation.
She said: “The project pipeline across the North East is strong and we anticipate this will remain the case for the foreseeable. Demand is underpinned by ongoing planning reforms designed to accelerate the delivery of much needed new homes.”
Phil McCarthy advises on major infrastructure and industrial projects, including large employment and energy-related schemes.
He said: “The Government’s focus on generating economic growth is good for business. The combination of our specialist knowledge and unparalleled track record in the North East means we are well geared up to take advantage of the opportunities out there for our clients.”
Andrew McMeiken supports clients on development projects throughout the North East, drawing on experience gained in local authority planning policy work.
James Fennell, Chief Executive of Lichfields, said: “The company’s success is reflected in the promotion of our staff, and our Newcastle team goes from strength-to-strength. It’s a powerhouse of an office which plays a significant role in the delivery of new development in the North East.”
