Jinkx Monsoon & Major Scales bring brand new comedy cabaret show to Newcastle

Comedy cabaret duo, Jinkx Monsoon & Major Scales are bringing their new show Together Again, Again! to Tyne Theatre & Opera House on Saturday 6th June 2020.   

Winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 5, Jinkx Monsoon and Seattle based musician, and performer, Major Scales (Richard Andriessen) have released two albums (The Inevitable Album & The Ginger Snapped) and toured across the world.

In their new show, we’re told it’s been forty-five years since Jinkx Monsoon and Major Scales have set foot on stage together and have long since gone their separate ways; Jinkx becoming a faded TV movie starlet, and Major fading into musical obscurity— each of them clinging onto what scraps of fame they still have. Now, after decades of anticipation, the two of them have come together for one final reunion upon the stage. They’re together again, again!

Jinkx Monsoon has toured the world performing her original cabaret shows with her music partner, Major Scales. You may recognize her voice from Cartoon Network’s Steven Universe and Mighty Magiswords. Her webshow, Cool Mom, co-starring her comedy partner Nick Sahoyah, can be seen exclusively on WOW Presents Plus. Major Scales has written everything from award-winning New York shows on the east coast to music for amateur adult films on the west.

Their new show Together Again, Again! is set to be their most outrageously raucous show yet!

Jinkx Monsoon & Major Scales: Together Again, Again! is the most recently announced show that combines drag, music and theatre at Tyne Theatre and Opera House. The RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Season 1 tour has its first date at Tyne Theatre at the end of November, followed by the adult panto with an all-star drag cast, Sinderella. Local legend Miss Rory brings new show All Huns’ Blazin’ in February and Drag Race icon Trixie Mattel is set to perform later in 2020.
