Italian restaurant tickles tastebuds with Valentine’s Day menu
A contemporary Italian pizzeria in Newcastle city centre is tempting couples with a tantalising offer this Valentine’s Day, with a three course menu for just £14.95.
Pasqualino’s Bar-Pizzeria on Market Street is treating loved-up diners to the very best in authentic Italian cuisine with starters including crab blini, cockle dressing and watercress, and cauliflower soup with cauliflower fritters and olive pesto.
For the main course, couples can choose from crisp pork belly, parsnip puree, Savoy cabbage and lentils, or parsnip, shallot and tallegio pie with Savoy cabbage and mushroom veloute, as well as a range of pizzas and pasta dishes.
Diners are invited to indulge in blood orange semi freddo with poached rhubarb, or walnut tart with chocolate ice cream for dessert.
Valentine’s Day celebrations continue in the bar, where customers can enjoy 20% off all drinks from 9.30pm, including a wide range of cocktails and a choice of local and continental craft beers.
Pasqualino’s is owned by siblings Aldo, Joseph and Cristina De Giorgi, who have created some of Newcastle’s most renowned bars and restaurants including Paradiso, Popolo, Intermezzo, Alvinos, Secco, Don Vito’s and 9Bar Coffee.
Cristina De Giorgi said: "Pasqualino’s offers authentic dishes in a modern and stylish setting with cosy booths and famous Italian hospitality, so it’s an ideal venue for Valentine’s Day, and this menu provides particularly great value for diners.”
