INNSiDE by Melia Newcastle Turns 5!
This year, INNSiDE by Meliá Newcastle, part of Meliá Hotels International, is celebrating its fifth anniversary, marking five years of contributing to Newcastle’s growing reputation as a dynamic cultural hotspot.
As part of the birthday celebrations, INNSiDE Newcastle is inviting award winning chocolatier and local favourite The Canny Chocolate Company to the hotel on Friday 15th May. The Canny Chocolate team will be showcasing their live chocolate making and tasting between 5pm - 7pm, with bespoke milk chocolates and coins for guests to take home. To mark the celebration, Gino D'Acampo will have a limited-edition cocktail 'The 5th Chapter' available over the weekend for guests to enjoy.

This summer, INNSiDE Newcastle is a proud sponsor of Peter Rabbit: Tales on the Tyne, a large-scale, free public art trail created by Wild in Art in support of local charity St Oswald’s Hospice. The trail transforms streets, parks and landmarks into an outdoor gallery, with individually designed sculptures encouraging visitors to discover different neighbourhoods, waterfront areas and cultural hotspots. INNSiDE Newcastle will have its own Peter Rabbit sculpture set to form part of the city-wide experience, designed by friend of the hotel Arty Joe - an artist that has previously exhibited work within the hotel’s in-house art gallery.
INNSiDE Newcastle also works closely with the renowned Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art, through a year-round partnership that sees the Baltic transform the INNSiDE Newcastle 1st floor gallery space into a vibrant creative hub, offering guests and visitors the opportunity to experience world-class art in a dynamic new setting. Newcastle-based illustrator Zoë Cotterill is currently in residency at the hotel, with a new exhibition set to launch this June.
For those that keep fitness at the top of their list when travelling, INNSiDE Newcastle is home to a stylish Infit fitness hub, complete with state-of-the-art Technogym equipment, available for guest use 24-hours a day. Guests can also take part in INNSiDE Road Runners - a wellness initiative to encourage INNSiDE hotel guests to see the city at pace, all while meeting like-minded people and exploring the local area.
