In the Pink at Leila Lily's

One of Newcastle’s most glamorous venues will look pretty in pink when it hosts a charity fashion show this summer.

Leila Lily’s, at Grey Street, is joining forces with model agency, TTM, and Pink Boutique to hold a Pink Party on Sunday 8 August.

And money raised from the event will go to the Gosforth based Daft as a Brush Cancer Patient Care Team, which transports cancer patients to and from hospital for their treatment, free of charge.

Ticket holders will be welcomed to the party at 3pm with a Little Pink Dress cocktail specially created for the occasion.

Then they take their seats for a pink themed afternoon tea after which models will parade a selection of outfits from Pink Boutique, all of which can be purchased from its website after the event.

There will also be charity auctions throughout the afternoon, with the chance to bid for prizes from brands such as Bentley, City Retreat, Victoria's Secret, Charlotte Tilbury and Tom Ford.

And those guests wishing to keep the party going are invited to head to the restaurant’s basement club lounge, 212@Leila Lily’s, from 8pm onwards where they will be served pink burger sliders to a soundtrack of music from live DJs, a saxophonist and a drummer.

Part of four AA-star The Grey Street Hotel, the £1.5m restaurant and bar is owned by the Malhotra Group plc, which owns a portfolio of bars, hotels and restaurants across Tyneside.

Daft as a Brush – based opposite the Group’s newly renovated Three Mile and Great North Hotel, at Gosforth, is its chosen charity for 2021.

And Matt Stephenson, Business Manager at Leila Lily’s, hopes the Pink Party will raise a substantial sum for the charity.

It is about North East businesses teaming up to help a much needed and valued Tyneside charity,” he said.

“We can guarantee it will be a fantastic event and we hope people will come along and spend generously to help us help them.
