Eldon Square Brings Christmas Shoppers a ‘Taste of the Toon’
This Christmas, Eldon Square, Newcastle’s premier shopping and leisure destination, invites shoppers to indulge in unique festive treats with the launch of two limited-edition Newcastle-inspired mince pies.
On Thursday 4th and Friday 5th December, between 11am and 2pm local drag queen and star of Ru Paul’s Drag Race UK, Sally™ will be on hand in the centre to tantalise taste buds with free Sausage Roll Mince Pies and Mince Pies inspired by the iconic flavours of Newcastle Brown Ale.
Specially baked for Eldon Square to a secret recipe, the pies have been inspired by two of the inimitable flavours of Newcastle to bring a Black and White twist to one of Christmas’s top treats. Could these mashups spark a new foodie fad? Or should these classic flavours have been left well alone? There is only one way to find out!

We can’t wait to welcome Sally™ to the centre to help us hand out our Newcastle-inspired mince pies – it’s going to be a lot of fun for friends and families alike and brings Christmas cheer to the centre in a truly unique way!”
Sally™ added: “I can’t wait to tempt people with this unique Taste of the Toon! If there’s anyone who knows how to do things a little differently, it’s me. Hopefully handing out these mince pies will be as fun and cheerful as a Christmas morning, so make sure you head down to Eldon Square - you won’t want to miss out!”
The Newcastle-Inspired Mince Pies will be available for FREE* while stocks last on the upper level of the centre outside Sephora.
