Dragons’ Den Winners YogaBellies® come to Newcastle!

The Women’s yoga franchise YogaBellies®, owned by Cheryl MacDonald and her husband Mike, wowed  the Dragons’on this weeks episode of Dragons’ Den. Using their unique yogic techniques, YogaBellies® convinced the Dragons’ that YogaBellies® was an organization to be reckoned with and received an offer of £50,000 from Duncan Bannatyne. Now YogaBellies® is coming to Newcastle Upon Tyne The busy mum and author of the recently published Birth ROCKS, started YogaBellies after the birth of her son three years ago and now has over 80 YogaBellies® franchisees internationally. YogaBellies® teachers are given complete training in the unique YogaBellies® techniques and run their own socially-conscious YogaBellies® business, offering the classes in their local area. Jo Hutton is excited to be part of YogaBellies® and to be offering YogaBellies® classes in Newcastle Upon Tyne. Jo says: “I love being part of YogaBellies® and really value what our sessions can bring to women, babies and children. Our classes are about so much more than just exercise, we use authentic yogic techniques in a fun, non-threatening way. The majority of people who come to YogaBellies® classes are completely new to Yoga and we have a really great community of women helping women. I have been offering the classes in Newcastle for over a year now and have worked with over 100 women in the perinatal period. I run the classes from Yogalilies which is the only dedicated Yoga and Pilates studio in the North East” Dragon Duncan Bannatyne offered YogaBellies® £50,000 investment for 35% of the company (going down to 20% after two years) admitting “this is a no brainer for me”. Deborah Meaden also showed a great interest in the company but felt that Duncan had better resources to offer YogaBellies® as a whole. The Bannatyne Group and YogaBellies® are currently decided which is the best way for the company to progress and grow. Jo Hutton is offering YogaBellies® classes at Yogalilies in the City Centre, and can be contacted on [email protected], 07540077607.
