Dave Spikey “Punchlines”

Thursday 31st March 2016, 7.30pm Tyne Theatre & Opera House are excited to announce that Dave Spikey will be coming to our stage on Thursday 31st March 2016. Punchlines derive their humour from being unexpected - “Punch” indicating that the “Line” should always come as a surprise or shock. The major school of thought suggests that few Punchlines are funny out of context. There is another school of thought (Actually Dave’s school of thought) that the opposite can be true. In this new show he will present evidence to support this. He quotes: - “Bob? Who’s Bob?” / “Have you got Bunk Beds?” / “Eileen, bring me a cloth”. Then of course there’s Nuns. Nuns in baths, Nuns on bikes and that Lion walking in a pub ; not to mention the bloke with the big orange head. Tickets on sale!
