Daniel Sloss: X comes to the Tyne Theatre and Opera House

Tyne Theatre & Opera House are excited to announce another addition to their jampacked comedy programme for 2018/2019.

Scotland’s internationally acclaimed and award-winning comedy star, Daniel Sloss, will bring his new show ‘X’ to the theatre on Wednesday 23rd January 2019.

Fast becoming one of the world’s biggest comedy names, with 2 hour-long Netflix comedy specials, both released on 11 September 2018, Daniel’s last smash-hit tour spanned 150+ shows across 28 countries around the globe.

He has appeared on US TV’s ‘Conan’ a record 9 times, sold out shows at 11 consecutive Edinburgh Fringes (being one of the biggest comedy ticket sellers for the last 9 years), and played 9 solo sold-out seasons in London’s West End as well as 4 seasons off-Broadway in New York.

Daniel has been featured on Comedy Central’s ‘Roast Battles’ and ‘Drunk History’, ITV’s ‘Sunday Night at the Palladium’, gave a ‘Tedx’ Talk’ and recorded a DVD (aged 20). Still just 28, this is his brilliant 10th solo show, which comes with a warning that it deals with some challenging contemporary themes and is getting 5-star reviews.

Theatre director Joanne Johnson says: "Tyne Theatre & Opera House is now THE go-to venue for the best comedy shows in Newcastle upon Tyne. We’re continuing to book the biggest comedy acts: just this week Sarah Millican is about to complete her 11th Tyne Theatre show of 2018, and all 11 shows have sold out! We’ve also got the likes of Joe Lycett, Dylan Moran, Sara Pascoe and Russell Kane coming up, with more comedy for 2019 still to be announced. Most of these shows sell out, so we recommend booking well in advance!”

Age restriction 14+

Tickets priced at £18.50
General on sale Friday 5th October from 10am. Available from www.tynetheatreandoperahouse.uk
