The Countdown Begins: Fenwick Unveils Date for 2026 Christmas Window Reveal
Fenwick Newcastle today announces that the date for its iconic Christmas window reveal will be on Sunday 1st November 2026.
For over 50 years, the arrival of Fenwick’s Christmas window has signalled the start of the festive season and has become one of the most highly anticipated events in the festive calendar, attracting thousands of visitors to the city centre and an impressive number of streams online from across the world every year.
As per last year, members of the public can once again enter a ballot to be part of a small, invited audience to see the grand reveal the evening of 1st November on Northumberland Street. Simply head to fenwick.co.uk from Thursday 8th October and fill out the form. The ballot will remain until 23:59 on Thursday 15th October, and randomly selected winners will receive a family ticket for up to four people.
Families will also be able to tune into Fenwick’s YouTube and Instagram channels at 6:30pm on the evening, to see the live reveal. The window will then be available for public viewing from Monday 2nd November and throughout the festive season.
On the evening of the reveal, in the interest of the safety of the public, a section of Northumberland Street will be closed off for the event, with a small number of guests in attendance including children and families from Newcastle’s local schools, hospitals and charities, as well as the ballot winners.

How it works:
Stage 1: Registration. From Thursday 8th October, simply fill in the online form with your name, address, email and telephone number before 11.59pm on Thursday 15th October. Once complete, you'll automatically see an acknowledgement page. Registrations will be limited to one entry per email address.
Stage 2: Winners will be notified via email on Friday 16th October.
Stage 3: Wristbands will be sent out to successful ballot entrants ahead of the event.
