Christmas Party Planning made easy at The Union Rooms

A leading Newcastle venue is giving the gift of free room hire to those organising a last minute Christmas party.

With four different spaces available, the Union Rooms, at Westgate Road, can host anything from an intimate gathering to a party of up to 200 guests.

And there is still time to book a festive function at the bar and kitchen this month, with three different food packages to choose from.

Party-goers can enjoy options such as sage and onion wedges, crispy brie with cranberry salsa and pulled barbecue turkey sliders with rainbow slaw with the festive finger buffet, for £15 per person.

Larger groups may opt for the festive fork buffet at £20 per person, which includes festive spiced smoked haddock and prawn paella, honey, thyme and garlic roasted root vegetables, winter slaw with maple candied nuts and Christmas pudding cheesecake.

Or, a traditional turkey and all the trimmings option is also available for £22.50 per person, with creamy leek and truffle potato soup, roasted turkey breast ballotine, pigs in blankets, rosemary and olive oil roast potatoes, with seasonal vegetables and warm Christmas pudding and brandy custard for dessert.

Stuart Young, of Cyclone Leisure Group, which owns the Union Rooms, is gearing up for a busy countdown to Christmas.

“The Union Rooms is a fantastic place to visit in December and our team have truly outdone themselves this year to produce some really creative dishes,” he said.

“We’re really looking forward to helping people get into the festive spirit, whether they’re planning a gathering with family or a work Christmas party.

“Our festive food options have been very popular so I would advise anyone with a specific date in mind to book sooner rather than later.”

Along with some Christmas specials, the full kitchen and pizzeria menu will be served throughout December.

Diners can also make the most of the Union Rooms’ festive afternoon tea, which is £30 for two people and includes a seasonal cocktail.
