The Botanist is giving away blossom-flavoured cocktails to celebrate Negroni Week – here's how to get your hands on them

Award-winning bar & restaurant, The Botanist, has developed the most botanical negroni – boasting 80 botanicals in a single cocktails – to mark Negroni Week, Campari’s week-long celebration which aims to spotlight the iconic drink while supporting UK charity Slow Food, and loyal fans of the brand can test it for free this month.

The Botanist’s take on the classic drink, the Blooming Negroni, has been developed by the bar’s in-house mixologists and the foragers at Hepple Spirits, who also craft The Botanist’s Ultimate G&T. The unique cocktail includes Hepple Gin, made with green juniper, Douglas fir, savoury lovage, sweetgale and blackcurrant leaves foraged from the wild heart of Northumberland, stirred with Campari and rosé vermouth and finished with flavours of jasmine and elderflower.

Located in the eastern edge of Northumberland National Park, Hepple’s estate features vast moors of heather and grasslands, abundant in botanicals and ancient juniper, and towering pine forests. A sip of the Blooming Negroni promises to transport you there, as if you’re harvesting the botanicals yourself.

The limited-edition drink will feature on The Botanist’s Negroni Week cocktail menu alongside its Classic Negroni, available across its bars from 22nd until 28th September, and loyal customers signed up to The Botanist Exchange Society, its email newsletter, by Friday 19th September will receive an exclusive gift voucher to redeem the floral take on the classic for free.

The development of the Blooming Negroni follows the launch of The Botanist’s new cocktail menu. Blending the best of botany, the inventive new drinks celebrate nature with every sip, aiming to give the feeling of taking a stroll through a lush, boozy greenhouse.

Head to The Botanist’s website to sign up to The Botanist Exchange Society and find your nearest bar & restaurant.
