The sharp, satirical drama Application 39 (for the Gaza 2048 Olympics) arrives at Northern Stage this September.

By Palestinian writer Ahmed Masoud, the production images a Gaza that has risen from ruin and has unexpectedly been awarded the right to host the 2048 Olympic Games.

Described by The Guardian as "painful, joyous, elemental and essential", it promises to be a powerful and poignant production.
