NE1 NEWCASTLE RESTAURANT WEEK - JANUARY & AUGUST
We've got another two fabulous foodie dates for your diary! Think of it as your exclusive invite to take a culinary tour around more than 100 city centre restaurants! Our incredibly popular foodie event first hit the tables back in 2011; and since then, we’ve watched it sky-rocket into one of the UK’s finest food and drink events - delivering over £1m worth of business across two weeks in 2019! Restaurant Week invites diners to ditch the recipe books, head out into NE1 and dine in style at both city classics and new restaurants for only £10 or £15 per person.

All Blacks legend, Sonny Bill Williams, has been hitting the headlines recently - and we can't wait to see the sporting star play live in NE1! Expect this rugby icon to take to the field for Toronto Wolfpack in their game at St James’ in May. Fans will see six matches spread across two days, as the summer festival of Rugby League returns to NE1. Round up the gang, don your finest fancy dress, and we'll see you in the stands for more sporting fun!
NE1 NEWCASTLE MOTOR SHOW
Big news for petrolheads! The NE1 Newcastle Motor Show will return in June 2020! From our first year on Grey Street in 2015, we’ve watched the event take over the heart of the city, from Old Eldon Square to Shakespeare Street, and beyond. From exhilarating live action stunt performances, to the introduction of the World-Record chasing BLOODHOUND SSC, it’s safe to say that NE1’s Newcastle Motor Show has definitely cranked up the gears over the years - and the 2020 event promises to be even bigger and better than ever before.
That's just a taster of what we've got to come in 2020. Expect our usual summer shennanigans with the return of the Quayside Seaside, Grey Street Gathering and Screen on the Green, as well as exciting pop-ups, Christmas crackers and mouthwatering foodie events.
