The Grey Street Gathering Returns For 2019

Last summer, NE1's Geordie Jackpot made our city greener and greater with the launch of Grey Street Gathering. It's back in situ until October and we can't wait for more glorious green days in the city centre!

Last year, we were delighted to cut the ribbon at our newest pop-up park, Grey Street Gathering. The arrival of this glorious garden in the centre of town meant we could host outdoor fitness classes, workshops and provide a tranquil new space for people to relax and rest their legs when in Newcastle. 

Grey Street Gathering is the first city centre project paid for by the Geordie Jackpot and will take pride of place on Grey Street once again until October 2019.

This cool new space screams fun in the sun and also provides an away-from-it-all retreat in one of the city’s busiest, most beautiful streets; equipped with large planters, special seating areas and exercise sessions such as yoga. 

What is so great about Grey Street Gathering is it’s love of all things local. Bringing together local designers, builders and project managers, we’re certain this pocket park will, once again, steal the hearts of the people of the city!

The pop-up park is the perfect excuse to get excited about the sunny season in Newcastle! Whether you swing by on your lunch break, rest your legs mid-shopping trip, or meet your yogi chums for an exercise class, it’s a cool new hub for the people of NE1 and beyond to enjoy.
