Active Newcastle are bringing their fabulous International Women’s Day celebration back to NE1 this spring! Taking place on 8 March at Exhibition Park, This Girl Can is a chance to mark the occasion with a vivid UV 1 mile or 5k stroll through the park! It's the perfect opportunity to rally the troops, so don your brightest sportswear and pick up some glow-sticks as you walk, jog, run or sprint the scenic route around Exhibition Park. The children’s charity Coco is gathering a diverse panel of speakers to discuss current issues facing women in the UK, East Africa and beyond! Head to The Common Room on Westgate Road for a wonderful event that’s brimming with positive messages and ideas to empower one another and future generations. Starting with a drinks reception and networking opportunities from 5.30pm, the main event is an insightful Q&A with their inspiring group of speakers focusing on the 2022 International Women’s Day theme, Break the Bias.
Tyne to Stand Up

This International Women's Day, some of the funniest female comediennes in the city are heading to the Tyne Theatre & Opera House for a huge fundraising show!
From TV names and top comedy circuit acts and exciting newcomers on the block, they’re all raising money to support Rape Crisis Tyneside & Northumberland with this epic comedic marathon. All money raised will be donated so get yourself a ticket and support the cause whilst laughing your socks off!

North East Women In Life Sciences 2022

High Force Research are bringing together some of the North East’s brightest industrial and academic talent at Newcastle Helix! Taking place at The Core, this brilliant event is back celebrating the fantastic women working in life sciences in our region.
