A coffee at Quay Ingredient. Stop by this independent coffee house located on Queen Street, just under the Tyne Bridge for the perfect pick me up to kickstart your day. Go here for creamy lattes, perfect flat whites, a steaming cup of Ringtons Tea and plenty of soft drinks options. Why not grab a breakfast trio sandwich too? You simply can’t beat tucking into a sausage, bacon and egg sandwich, can you? Good vibes set for the day ahead.




Shop local at…

A bundle of blooms from the wonderful bunch located at this snug location under the Tyne Bridge has everything you need to put smiles on faces.




Fill your belly at…

UNOs Trattoria. Situated under the Tyne Bridge, this family-run restaurant serving authentic Italian dishes is a firm favourite in NE1. If you’re looking for perfect pizza and hearty pasta dishes then look no further. For us, starting with potato skins and king prawns in garlic is essential. For mains, it has to be their incredible spaghetti carbonara or pepperoni pizza, traditional and packed full of flavour. If you’ve got room for more then their chocolate fudge cake is a no brainer! Head down during happy hour and tuck into your favourite pasta or pizza dish for just £7.25. (Mon-Fri 12-7pm or Sat 12-5pm)

Pint at the Redhouse. Best-loved in the Toon for its refreshing drinks, gorgeous views and friendly atmosphere, you simply can’t go wrong with a sit-down and a perfectly poured pint from this Quayside hot spot. Think locally sourced beer, a wide range of spirits and a selection of soft drinks for those non-alcoholic consumers. Whether you’re strolling by or popping in after lunch, a visit here should be a must on your Quayside agenda. 




Walk it off…

With a stroll along the Quayside. Walk off your lunch and take in the gorgeous views of our beloved Quayside. Stretch those legs and make your way from one side to the other while getting some insta-worthy shots of our famous bridges. Look up and notice the beauty of smiles on faces as we see the return of thriving businesses and embrace the hustle and bustle of this tourist hot spot.

BALTIC. A visit here should be a must on your agenda. The creative team here are making waves this year with their exceptional lineup of exhibitions. Reopening on May 19, there are tons of cool, quirky and exceptionally brilliant exhibitions to welcome you back. You can book a free timed ticket in advance, but walk-in visits on the day are also welcomed. 




Finish your day with...

Cocktails at Pitcher & Piano. Picture this, the sun is setting, you’re sitting down after a busy day, you’ve got your favourite cocktail in hand and you’re laughing with your pals while admiring the gorgeous views of the Quayside that surrounds you. Perfection. For us, a Disaronno Sour, Flossy Bop or Blueberry Rush would be the cocktail of choice. Sweet, tangy and oh-so refreshing. Which cocktail would you choose?
