Newcastle International Christmas Markets

Last updated:

The Newcastle International Christmas Market returns for 2017 from 17th November - 10th December!

Picture the scene - steam somersaulting in the ice cold air over a cup of spiced mulled wine, both hands holding together a fully packed bison burger bursting with flavours or popping your fork into a batch of mini dutch pancakes oozing with Nutella and dusted in snow white sugar.

You are under the twinkling lights and displays in the centre of the hustle and bustle of our very own Christmas market. There is everything you desire from unique gifts, clothing and most importantly delicious foods and drink. Nothing puts you in the festive spirit more than wandering around our wonderful city centre during the lead up to the big day.

Foodies are in for a treat. The Christmas Markets will take you on a delicious journey through the street stalls of Europe. You can get a currywurst from Germany, waffles from Holland, paella from Spain and crepes – both sweet and savoury from France. Yum!

Stopping off at Newcastle International Christmas Market is as satisfying as placing the star on top of the tree. You have gazed at the Fenwick Christmas window, ticked off your gift list in intu Eldon Square and now it is time to reward yourself with even more festivities.

The market returns every year to Greys Monument right in the midst of all the Christmas shoppers. It's the perfect location for a quick snack whether you are hitting the high streets or filling up before the panto. Don’t forget after browsing and indulging, Grey Street is close by and lined with brilliant bars, cafes and restaurants to warm up after market mooching.

We hope you love the Christmas Markets as much as we do! Tweet us and tag us in your Insta snaps as you browse this brilliant festive market.
