Laugh the night away at the Tyne Theatre & Opera House this August with social media comedy queen Celeste Barber! Hailed as the “Funniest Woman on Instagram”, her meteoric rise to fame came through parodying celebrity photographs with her unique take on celebrity lifestyle. In this exciting new live show, Celeste details the story behind some of her most infamous images and reveals all about her relationships with the celebrities she previously mocked! What promises to be an evening of laugh-out-loud tales and mishaps, make sure you grab your ticket before its too late!

Boundless Balearic Brunch
Praise the rays as you sip and indulge in brunchy favourites at The Alchemist this summer! Their all-new Boundless Balearic Brunch brings a sunshine soundtrack, cool cocktails and breakfast treats to the table. Foodies can enjoy three drinks and any brunch dish for just £25 every Saturday from 10am - 2pm. Party people can up their package and make it a bottomless brunch date for just £10. The brunch offering includes ‘The Full Alchemist’, ‘smashed avocado & poached eggs on sourdough toast’ and vegans have the option of ‘tofu scramble & avocado on sourdough toast’. Try On The Tyne
We’ve got another spectacular sporting event for you to get your teeth stuck into! Pop on your trainers and get involves in a sprint and standard duathlon on the flat and fast banks of the River Tyne, combined with a 5km and 10km run for all abilities. Try On The Tyne kicks off at Baltic Square on the other side of the Tyne, finishing on the Newcastle Quayside after crossing the Millennium and Swing Bridge. This event is perfect for those of you beginning your triathlon journey, as well as die-hard runners, PB chasers and those looking for a bit of family fun in the sun this summer! All events are chip timed and all finishers will receive a t-shirt, medal and goodie bag. Work, cycle and work up a sweat as you enjoy stunning views of the city this summer!
There’s never been a better time to learn how to play the ukulele! Budding musicians should make their way over the Tyne to Sage Gateshead, where the experts will be hosting a family-friendly music-making session in the Children’s Room. You’ll learn how to strum and sing-a-long at the same time, playing together as a group by the end of the masterclass. What a hoot!
