Get your thriller fix at the theatre in NE1 this week! The House on Cold Hill sets in for an eight show run, and we wouldn't want you to miss it! Based on the real experiences of best-selling author, Peter James, this spine-tingling new play tells the story of the Harcourt family, who move into the house of their dreams, only to discover they aren’t the only residents at Cold Hill. Their dream journey soon turns into the stuff of nightmares! A ghostly thriller that’ll make you think twice about returning home to a dark, empty house after the show!

BLUE PLANET II LIVE IN CONCERT

Take a deep breath... because Sir David Attenborough’s mesmerising Blue Planet II is coming to an NE1 stage! Following the incredible success of the BBC One TV-series, BBC Studios and FKP Scorpio are proud to present a 13- date UK live tour, swooping by the Utilita Arena this Wednesday. Bringing the wonder and mysteries of the planet’s oceans and wildlife to the arena stage, this must-see spectacular will showcase a stunning selection of visuals from the TV-series, revealing the beautiful blue planet in breathtaking detail on a state-of-the-art 200 square metre LED screen. A fantastical journey from icy polar seas to pulsating coral reefs.

RIZWAN MUAZZAM QAWWALI

Following a sensational Sage gig in 2017, the internationally-renowned Rizwan Muazzam Qawwali return for an evening of majestic Sufi music! They performed at the Commonwealth Games in Australia in 2018 and they’ve been making new music to share with audiences across the globe. See them perform their imaginative Sufi live at Sage Gateshead this Tuesday - with centuries of old tradition thrown in for good measure.

Bookworms are invited to Waterstones Newcastle to discover the literary delights of author N.K. Jemisin.
