Introducing the NE1 Geordie Jackpot!

Up here in Newcastle, we’re known as a region with the warmest of hearts (if not the weather to match)! In fact, countless readers of NE1 are involved in charities aiming to help out as much as possible on Tyneside.

So what if there was a way to be in with a chance of winning a range of fab prizes while supporting these amazing causes? Well, that’s where the NE1 Geordie Jackpot comes in. Launching on 5th September ahead of the first weekly draw on 7th October, it’s a fundraising lottery that’s dead-set on buying the city the things it needs, as well as a bunch of treats we’ll all want to get in on.

There’s no denying it, we’re pretty proud to announce that NE1 is the first UK BID to launch its own lottery to support and fund projects and initiatives that will benefit the city. It’s fun, it’s fabulously rewarding and it’s all for a great cause.

It’s a bargain too - you’d be a fool to pass this one by. For just £1, players can select six numbers to play for four weeks or more at a time via the Geordie Jackpot website. A guaranteed payout of £1,000 is up for grabs each week, with that oh-so-tempting £25,000 awarded for all six numbers in the right order.

And the prizes don’t stop there, with another lucky winner of the first draw set to bag a DFDS three-night mini cruise to Amsterdam for two. Don’t miss out on plenty of one-off experiences and specially themed prizes as the weeks roll by.

Sounds pretty good so far, right? But how does all this support the charities closest to us? Well, with a whopping 50% of the proceeds of ticket sales being donated to deserving causes, you’re effectively donating to fantastic organisations every single time you play.
