Newcastle Solicitors Makes Key Commercial Property Team Appointment

Burnetts Solicitors LLP based at Citygate in Newcastle has made a key appointment within its Newcastle team, further strengthening its growing presence in the North East.

Phil Dean has joined Burnetts as Commercial Property Partner and will play a key part in building the firm’s Commercial Property team in Newcastle in the coming months.

Phil, an experienced Solicitor, studied in Newcastle and after completing his degree, worked for a number of well-known law firms, working closely with their PFI and Insolvency teams and acting for national housebuilders, UK banks, major North East businesses and national retailers.

He specialises in commercial developments, landlord and tenant and portfolio management for clients and has extensive experience with high street portfolios having acted for The Works Bookstores and Arcadia Group.

Phil said: “I’m really excited to move forward with the team here at Burnetts. The property market is constantly evolving in the North East and we are positioned to help our clients make the most of the opportunities which arise.

Robbie Mather, who leads Burnetts’ Commercial Property team alongside Helen Hayward, said: “We’re focussing this year on building our team in Newcastle and so Phil is a very important appointment for us, with great relevant experience and an outstanding reputation for his client work. He will play a vital part in the development of our offering in the North East.”

Burnetts’ Commercial Property team advises on all aspects of commercial property transactions and is recognised for its expertise in portfolio management, commercial and residential development projects, the leisure and tourism sector and the complexities of pension property investments.
