Thai Kwondo Returns To Newcastle!

Last updated:

Unit 44 and Wylam Brewery’s infamous food battles return to the palace of arts and Exhibition Park on 15 and 16 October, for a weekend of tasty Thai treats and laid-back beats, Thai Kwondo is back!

For those that haven’t been before, the name of the game is simple; Wylam Brewery is taken over by an assortment of food traders, each offering delicious bite-size morsels for a purse-pleasing price, ready for you to sample as many as you wish, whilst some of Newcastle’s finest DJs provide the soundtrack, and the bar is, of course, open for business!

Entry is free all weekend, with the party starting on Friday night, and returning throughout Saturday, from lunchtime until late, so you can make time to visit more than once if you don’t get to try everything you fancy in one go! This time round the focus is on Thai food, with some of the best in the biz offering their wares in an attempt to be crowned Champions at the end of the weekend. Get ready for Thai street food flavours and re-imagined specials at this foodie fantasy!

Last time Thai Kwondo was in town participants included the likes of Kogarashi, Sohe, and Pan Asia, and hordes of Geordies sampled their way through copious quantities of Thai cuisine! Sound like a plan? Gather the gang, and tootle over to Exhibition Park, sip on some Wylam specials in the cool autumn sun, and work your way through some seriously tasty treats. We’re delighted to see the food battles back at the Brewery, it’s set to be a magical weekend, and you’ll find us front and centre, loving life!
